Grand opening of the Old Endeavour, London Road [30th July 2011]
Miss Deborah Gunn recently bought the Old Endeavour on London Road and has renovated it with mind to rebrand the pub's image and reputation. The grand opening on the 30th welcomed the community with a free buffet and £2 drinks all night; a sure fire way to win over the punters.
Unfortunately there were a few unpleasant situations that arose, along with people who should have been asked to leave, but apart from that the evening was very enjoyable. We would like to thank Miss Gunn and her staff for their wonderful service and hope to see them again soon.
Pencester Dog Show [30th July 2011]
The most recent event we attended was the Dog Show in Dover's Pencester Gardens; a family fun day with a wide variety of stalls, local canine competetors and and overall feel of community spirit.
The central theme was obviously the Dog Show itself, with a multitude of categories ensuring that both newcomers and those more familiar with shows were well suited. There were even childrens' categories; no one was left out! The other animal tents went down a treat too, with exotic species such as parrots and even meerkats. All in all, it was a lovely day. Hey Rudi! at The Bull, London Road, Dover [9th July 2011].
The set kicked off at 8:45pm in The Bull; a small but friendly public house on Dover’s London Road.
Regardless, whether you’re a hardcore fan of ska or just want a fun night out, I’d definitely recommend watching out for future Bull events. Their next ska night is next weekend on Saturday July 16th @4pm, so come along!

[Historic and Marina events in Dover.]
These types of events are always on in and around Dover, especially during the summer, and they're always such fun! Now these photos are from back when Dover's Most Wanted was originally launched, but we have chosen to feature them on Recent News to get the message out there that there are some really cool events on in our 'boring' old town. There's nothing cooler than watching a group of people all dressed in historic costume firing flaming arrows at a floating target! Not only is it exciting for the kids, ensuring a great family day out, but they're just generally enjoyable for all.
